For a limited time, I am releasing a collector’s edition of SPLASH ME, complete with a brand new bonus epilogue called “Love on Lockdown,” which is a sexy and uplifting slice of life from Kevin and April’s experience during quarantine.
You may be thinking, how can quarantine be sexy? Trust me, these sweet and lovable horndogs I invented will always find a way. Some people make sourdough starter when they’re nervous, and other people just want to make sweet, sweet love.
“Love on Lockdown” was written in April of 2020, while I was quarantining in New York City during the coronavirus pandemic. At that time, New York was the epicenter of the global pandemic. I will never forget those alarming few months, watching my beloved, vibrant city shut down, leaving so many people out of work and so many futures uncertain.
While I stayed in my apartment, it helped me to think about my Fairytale Remix series, and what all those funny, resilient New York lovers might be doing during quarantine. Which led me to think, if my romantic comedies flirted with a dystopian setting, what would my characters wear? And thus, Love on Lockdown was born….
As I publish this Collector’s Edition in the summer of 2020, New York City is in the midst of reopening, but many things both here and around the world remain precarious.
While in isolation, I relied on books, movies, podcasts and television shows to sustain me when I felt bored or upset. In an effort to pay it forward, all proceeds of this edition (through September 14th, 2020) will be donated to the Food Bank for New York City.
